Message Boards
The local discussion forums. Each board lives in a category and has
its own list of threads.
Reading
- Web:
/boards/shows the board index. Click into a board to see
threads; click a thread to read it. - Terminal: main menu M.
Posting
Logged-in users can start new threads and reply. Markdown is
supported in posts, including fenced code blocks, tables, and
images.
Mentions
Type @username to mention another user. They'll get a notification
(see Notifications). The mention popup auto-completes from
nearby usernames.
Reactions
Bottom of every post — thumbs-up / down / heart / fire / laugh.

Subscriptions
Click Subscribe at the top of a thread to get notified of every
new reply.
Polls
Reply to a thread with a /poll slash-command from the editor, or
use the Poll tab on the compose form. See Polls.
Attachments
Up to four files per post. Images render inline; other files become
download links. See Files for the global library.
Threading
ANetBBS uses flat threads by default — replies are appended in time
order. Quoted replies (Reply quote) prefix the original text with
> like classic Usenet.
Moderation
Sysops can lock or unlock threads, pin posts to the top of a board,
move threads between boards, and soft-delete content. See
