Private Messages

One-on-one mail between local users. Distinct from Echomail
(networked discussion areas) and Netmail (FidoNet point-to-point).

Send

The compose form takes a recipient username, subject, and body.
Markdown is supported in the body.

/pm/inbox (web) or main menu P (terminal). Unread messages
have a bold/yellow row. The badge in the top nav shows the unread
count.

Standard > quoting for replies; forward includes a "Fwd:" prefix
on the subject.

Bothered by a user? /profile/blocks/ lets you block them. Blocked
users can't PM you; you can still see their public posts.

Soft-delete only — the message is hidden from your inbox but still
exists for the other party. Sysops can hard-delete from
/admin/users/<id>/pm/.
